BackgroundMy name is Henry Lien Tang, I come from a small country called Malaysia. I was born on the Borneo Island, one of the most beautiful places on Earth. The place I grew up is called Miri, where her main export is crude oil and timber. The world biggest cave, Niah Cave, can be found close to Miri. AcademicI am currently a 1st year postgraduate student doing a research for the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Section of Mechanical Engineering Department, Imperial College, London. Before commencing my research degree in July, 1998, I spent 4 years obtaining my first degree (Master of Engineering, MEng) in Mechanical Engineering, also from the same department. Course details can be obtained from the department. My research is mainly on Combustion in Direct Injection (DI) Spark Ignition (SI) engines, or widely know as the GDITM engines first made commercially available by Mitsubishi Motors. My aim is to implement a combustion code to existing CFD codes such that the combustion in DI SI engines can be predicted reasonably accurately using CFD. My supervisors are Prof. A D Gosman and (soon-to-be) Dr. Henry Weller. PersonalMy hobbies including reading, computing, tele, movies, photography and of course, travelling.
